Application form to become an OECI Auditor
Join our diverse, multinational auditor team performing peer reviews of cancer centres participating in the OECI A&D Programme. We offer a two-day training course to learn the content of the OECI standards, how to prepare for a peer review, report your findings using the e-tool, and hone your interviewing skills.
An OECI auditor:
An OECI auditor:
- Is employed by a cancer institute or hospital and is working in a specific field of oncology, for example: a medical specialist (medical oncologist, surgeon, radiation therapist, pathologist); a (quality) manager, an oncology nurse, a cancer researcher or microbiologist;
- Is approved by his/her centre legal representative to apply to become an OECI auditor (engagement letter);
- Has attended the OECI audit training;
- Speaks and writes fluently in English;
- Has a good overview of the field of oncology in a cancer centre;
- Is a team player;
- Has an objective and analytic way of thinking;
- Has a quality improvement attitude;
- Is willing to commit time and efforts for peer review, designation screening and report.
The tasks of an OECI auditor:
- Prepares the peer review visit according to the preliminary designation type;
- Prepares the peer review visit by analysing the self assessment results and documents of a cancer institute;
- Attends the preparation meetings of the audit team (1. around 6 weeks before the peer review visit and 2. 1-2 weeks before the peer review);
- Auditors pre-score and write notes/remarks/questions between meeting 1 and 2 (or before meeting 2);
- Attends the preparation meeting on the evening before the start of the peer review;
- Performs the peer review according to the agenda and designation checklist;
- Writes notes during interviews, presentations and tours;
- Scores the standards as a team during the peer review visit;
- After the visit finalise notes in e-tool for the standards allotted to him/her and any standards concerning interviews in which
