UK Marine Industry Road Map Survey About 10 years ago, a UK maritime Industry road map was constructed under the auspices of the Society for Maritime Industries (SMI), which included a small section appropriate to British Marine’s representation of the leisure and workboat sectors of the industry. Earlier this year (2022), British Marine ran a short workshop at its Spring Conference to sketch out an update to this road map, providing a more in-depth focus on the small (<24m) recreational and commercial craft sectors. The aim of this road mapping project is to provide industry and other stakeholders with a single validated source of information on the key opportunities, challenges, and innovation priorities within the <24m UK recreational and commercial craft sectors.This online survey seeks to give all British Marine members the opportunity to contribute to this road mapping project and help us to develop the industry's vision for the future of these sectors.This survey will be divided into 4 sections covering the key themes of the road map (Customer Expectations, Craft Design, Craft Manufacturing and End of Life disposal), asking questions about how the industry should evolve (the vision), what are the technological and other trends you expect to shape the development of the industry and what are the opportunities and challenges associated with these changes.Thank you in advance for your support, your input is invaluable.
