GUIDING LIGHT: ministry training

MINISTRY TRAINING on ZOOM

Parish leadership is expanding as faithful disciples are sensing a fresh call to some of our most impactful ministries. Recently we have hosted regional workshops and online sessions about funeral-related ministry. Now we are expanding our training for those who are curious about taking on a new ministry (as individuals or as a team) or are seeking a refresher on various topics. We continue to respond to God's missional call to connect with our neighbours, generously and graciously serving in whatever way we can.

Parish lay leaders, especially Licensed Lay Ministers, Vocational Deacons, and others, are being called to collaboratively share in ministry together. As local ministers, they are often familiar with the families and communities. The Spirit is leading our Diocese to embrace more fully the ministry of all the baptized in this area.

Over the next few months, our Diocese is sponsoring a series of online learning sessions, called GUIDING LIGHT. These free ZOOM trainings are open to all Licensed Lay Ministers, any lay person who desires to know more (perhaps to be part of a team), and any cleric who seeks a refresher session.

TIME: 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.

These are explorative sessions, thus there is no expectation that participation will require a commitment to these ministries. Diocesan protocols, policies and Bishop’s expectations are addressed.
