Dear Teacher,
You are invited to take part in a survey in conjunction with research on the use of digital technology in the classroom that is being conducted by Dr. Diana Owen at Georgetown University and students in her graduate research seminar. The goal of the survey is to get your views on how digital tools are being used in the classroom. You are being asked to take part in this study because you are a teacher of history, American government, civics, or social studies.
Your participation in this study is entirely voluntary. You can choose not to participate at all or to leave the study at any time without penalty. The survey should take around 10 minutes to complete. Study data will be kept in digital format on Georgetown University’s secure server. Only Dr. Owen and her students who have been certified in working with human subjects will have access to the data. All of your responses to this survey will remain confidential and cannot be linked to you in any way. There are no risks associated with this study. The results of the study will be made available through the Georgetown University Civic Education Research Lab (https://cerl.georgetown.edu/).
Upon completion of the survey, you will be eligible to enter a raffle for one of five $100 gift certificates to Amazon.com.
