6.Cooking Rules: Single Entry, teams or businesses welcome. Team Max 5 people. Location Southern Star Brewery, Conroe, TX. Contestants must furnish their own ingredients, any garnishes for your chili tastes, equipment, tasting cups, and cooking utensils, fuel, tables and canopies. All contestants are responsible for maintenance of the proper temperature for serving. Conroe Roller Derby will provide spoons and chili bowls for serving. Chili may be cooked on site or brought already cooked. Set up access is at 10am the day of the event. Serving time for the Chili must be ready by 1pm. Electricity is limited, propane is recommended.
7.Ingredients: Use your favorite home cooked Chili recipe of any kind! The use of commercial prepackaged chili mixes or canned chili is not permitted.
8.Chili Requirements: Each Team must cook a minimum of 3 gallons of Chili. Each team will have a assigned number visible to the public. Judge's winner will take first place, Peoples choice will be determined by popular vote. Good luck!
9.Themes: Event Theme is Cutthroats Chili! YOU are encouraged to decorate your booth and tent in whatever theme you want. Best decorated gets a prize. You are welcomed to theme the booth after a business and promote your business at your booth. Lets get creative!
10.Cook off Schedule: Set Up begins at 10am. Cooks Meeting at 11am. Chili must be ready to serve at 1pm. Awards will be given at 4pm for chili cook off and awards for car show will be announced at 5pm. Tear down of your tent MUST not begin before 6pm. The Date of the event is September 18th, 2021.
