Your insights in this survey will help us to identify global best practices in infrastructure resilience, reveal regional differences in management approaches, and guide future policy decisions. Together, we can build a framework for infrastructure that is future-proof, inclusive and resilient.

The Coalition for Disaster Resilient Infrastructure (CDRI) and the International Coalition for Sustainable Infrastructure (ICSI) invite you to participate in the Global Infrastructure Resilience Survey (GIRS) that will gather insights from professionals across the world.

This survey is designed for anyone with hands-on experience in infrastructure – whether you're designing it, building it, financing it, managing it, or creating policies for it. If you understand the realities of infrastructure in your country, we want to hear from you. The findings will be published in the CDRI Biennial Report 2025 on Global Infrastructure Resilience, becoming a vital resource for policymakers, practitioners, and researchers worldwide.

What to Expect from the Survey

We'll walk you through six quick sections covering everything from risk assessment to financing. Most people complete it in about 10 minutes, it is made up of multiple choice answers and you can save your progress if you need to step away. Additional clarifications and definitions can be found in the ‘tooltip’ text boxes, just hover over words underlined with a dotted line in the text to visualise them.

The surevy will ask you to choose a country and an infrastructure sector you are most familiar with. You should answer from the perspective of that country and sector. However if you have expertise in multiple countries and/or across sectors, we would encourage you to submit more than one response.

Your responses are completely anonymous and will only be reported as part of larger trends and patterns. We take your privacy seriously, and your individual responses won't be identifiable in any materials.
