Rats be gone in Tapawera

When nature is healthy, people are healthy. Rats and possums seriously impact native species, and put fruit and vegetable crops at risk. Together, Tapawera’s community can bring back insects and birds to Shedwood Bush, farms, the river, the school, and the town.

The Motueka Catchment Collective has teamed up with Tapawera Connect (with some funding from Predator Free NZ), to help the community to trap rats and possums.

Come to the Tapawera market on November 24th to check out some traps and play some games. Watch out for future events too.
Once you register we will be in touch to provide you with a rat trap and instructions on how to get trapping.
We also need some “local leaders”. This would be to get into trapping early, check on other people to see how their trapping's going, and keeping the momentum going. Please contact us if interested!
