Purpose:
This survey is administered by the Inter-Organization Programme for the Sound Management of Chemicals (IOMC)1 in collaboration with the Secretariat of the Global Framework on Chemicals. It aims to raise awareness in industry associations and companies about the Global Framework on Chemicals (GFC) and its industry-related targets, by specifically addressing industry associations and companies producing, distributing and using chemicals, spanning from raw material extraction to products and final disposal. Equally important, it seeks to elicit input from industry stakeholders about their ongoing and planned efforts to implement the GFC, and their interest to engage in, and contribute to a possible global GFC Implementation Programme on industry engagement and action along value chains.

About the Global Framework on Chemicals:
The “Global Framework on Chemicals: For a Planet Free of Harm from Chemicals and Waste” (GFC) was adopted at the fifth International Conference on Chemicals Management (ICCM-5), held in September 2023 in Bonn, Germany, by close to one thousand delegates from around the world representing governments, industry and civil society. A core element of the GFC are its 5 Strategic Objectives and 28 Targets that guide stakeholders at all levels to take measurable action to address the sound management of chemicals and waste.
