Expression of Interest – Network Co-Design
Communify, in partnership with QLEWN, has received seed funding to establish a co-designed network for the Lived Experience Workforce in Queensland. The aim of this project is to develop a network that will provide Lived Experience workers, students, and advocates across Queensland with a platform for connection, collaboration, and capacity-building. The network will focus on supporting the Lived Experience Workforce as they engage with the mental health, alcohol and other drug, and suicide prevention sectors.
Purpose
The purpose of the co-design group is to bring together individuals with personal or carer lived experience perspectives, and Lived Experience Workforce experience, ensuring that their voices directly inform the design, development, and direction of the network. This will ensure the network reflects the emerging diverse needs of the Lived Experience Workforce in Queensland.
Some key tasks of the co-design group will include:

• Shaping resources, such as information materials and databases, to support members of the network.
• Offering input into the creation of regular forums and spaces for engagement, learning, and knowledge sharing within the network.
• Identification and informing of emerging issues in relation to workforce and practice development.
• Development of a purpose designed and built community of practice.

Participant Selection and Criteria
To ensure the co-design process represents a diverse range of Lived Experience Workforce experience participants will be selected through an Expression of Interest (EOI) process. There is an opportunity for participants from across Queensland, including rural, regional and remote participants, to participate. We recognise the diversity of roles within our Lived Experience Workforce, and the lack of career pathways available to progress in our area of Lived Experience work. This EOI welcomes applications from Lived Experience workers that are paid workers, volunteers, advocates and students reflecting diverse Lived Experience positions. We are specifically seeking individuals who:

• Are currently undertaking, or have recently completed a Certificate IV in Peer Work. AND/OR
• Are actively involved in paid, regular advocacy initiatives (eg. working groups, steering committees, co-design, etc.)
• Ability to contribute to the co-design process and actively engage in shaping the direction of the network.
• An interest in, participating in collaborative co-design processes.
• Familiarity with the Queensland Lived Experience Workforce landscape.
• Availability to attend a co-design session on the 21st of January, 2025, 9am-12pm, via Zoom.

Co-design Session and Payment
• Co-design Session Date: The co-design session will be held on 21st January 2025, 9am-12pm via Zoom.
• Payment for Attendance: Participants will receive $50 per hour for 3 hours. Payment will only be made if a person is attending in their own time and not as part of their paid work role.
