Introduction
Hello and thank you for taking time to complete this survey! The purpose of the survey is to inform a project, funded by the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation, called Library Simplified / SimplyE for Academics. SimplyE is an open source mobile e-reading application originally designed to simplify access to ebooks for public libraries and their patrons. It aggregates ebooks and audiobooks and makes them accessible in a single app.
This survey will inform the planning and development of the SimplyE platform for use by academic libraries, including governance and community engagement strategies for ongoing support and growth of the platform. The survey takes about 15 minutes to complete. To answer questions in Sections 3 and 4, you may need assistance from IT, technical and/or collections services staff.
