In partnership with the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative Rare As One (RAO) Program, FasterCures is coordinating mentorship opportunities to deepen relationships within the nonprofit disease-research community and to support RAO Network organizations in their work to develop patient-driven research networks and make progress towards treatments and cures.
We thank you for your interest in becoming a mentor for the Rare As One Program! Mentors in this program will commit to meeting with their mentees every other month (either virtually or in-person), provide professional guidance and feedback to help mentees meet their individual and organizational goals, and help mentees build relationships with key stakeholders within your organization and externally that can help them advance their efforts. Mentors will be provided with a yearly stipend of $1,250 which can be used as they see fit for their participation in the program. The program will officially begin in April 2022 and may conclude at the end of January 2023, at which point we will assess if a year-long extension is possible.
To assist in the mentor matching process and to identify areas of expertise, FasterCures has created this brief questionnaire that interested individuals should complete by March 18, 2022.
The questionnaire consists of a series of multiple choice and brief narrative response questions and is estimated to take approximately 10 minutes to complete. Applicants are encouraged to write and save their responses in a word processing program and copy and paste responses into the application form when submitting the application. To preview the application questionnaire, please download the PDF version here. Participants are able to start the questionnaire and come back to it later but in order for this setting to work properly, the respondent must use the same device and web browser used to start the survey.
If you have any questions about completing the questionnaire or experience technical challenges, please contact Allyson Conlin at aconlin@milkeninstitute.org.
