from your submitted Commercial auditions?
Please review only your
COMMERCIAL
auditions.
Five or six would be a good sample size, if you have the time.
Please use the
Analyze
tool in Twisted Wave,
ACX Check
in Audacity,
Waveform Statistics
in Izotope RX, or
Amplitude Statistics
in Adobe Audition to obtain the
Average RMS Value
(as opposed to Max RMS or Min RMS). You should find the RMS for the entire file (which will likely have a second or so of silence at each end).
NOTE: The RMS is a negative scale, with 0 dB RMS as the loudest, and -99 (or lower) dB RMS being the quietest.
Average RMS GREATER than -12 dB RMS (NOT Peak!)
Average RMS between -13 and -16 dB RMS
Average RMS between -17 and -20 dB RMS
Average RMS between -20 and -23 dB RMS
Average RMS between -24 and -27 dB RMS
Average RMS between -28 and -31 dB RMS
Average RMS LESS THAN -32 dB RMS
