General Social Survey on Giving, Volunteering and Participating

Statistics Canada releases the General Social Survey on Giving, Volunteering and Participating (GSS-GVP) every 5 years. The GSS-GVP reports on how Canadians participate in their communities, including: how many volunteer and make donations, how much, what are their motivations and barriers to volunteering and giving, and provides analysis by province and territory.

We are interested in learning about our network’s knowledge of this survey, as part of our work to develop a Canadian Knowledge Hub for Giving and Volunteering. Please complete this short poll, which will take about 3 minutes to complete.
