Clara May Berry Park

The City of Eureka is seeking grant funding for improvements to Clara May Berry Park.  The goal being to create a play space for children of limited cognitive abilities such as Autism to participate in activities on an inclusive level with their peers.   According to the California Department of Education, Humboldt County leads the State of California in the percentage of students enrolled in special education programs, with 17% of its K-12 students diagnosed as having one or more disabilities.  Humboldt County tops the list with the highest percentage of all California counties.
