Sorell Council Seniors Week 2022 Feedback Survey

Seniors Week is an annual event that provides us with an opportunity to celebrate our seniors, encourage them to be active, participate in local events and socialise with their peers. We want your feedback on our program for 2022.
We listened to the feedback from our Seniors Advisory Group who told us they wanted Council to provide more activities for them. So for Seniors Week this year we planned a range of activities to encourage people to try something new and interact with others in our community.

We had approx. 100 seniors involved in our events across the week:
- Sip and Paint with local artist Jodi Chivers at the Dunalley Hall.
- Luncheon at Iron Creek Bay with Mitch McPherson from Speak Up Stay Chatty as a guest speaker reminding everyone of the importance of talking about mental health.
- Men’s Breakfast at Sorell Memorial Hall hosted by Rotary Club of Sorell.
- A movie matinee at Sorell Memorial Hall hosted by South East Tasmania Salvos.

We also organised a local fitness instructor to run stretch therapy and chair yoga classes but unfortunately she was unwell so they were cancelled.
