Introduction

Activating Change is proud to be awarded a three-year grant by the Office for Victims of Crime, Office of Justice Programs to develop best practices to respond to abuse of people with disabilities by their personal care attendants or direct support providers whom they’ve hired to assist them with activities of daily independent living. A vital component of this work is learning directly from the people with the most experience with PCAs/DSPs. This includes providers working with people disabilities.

Thank you for your interest in this short survey. Your insights into the various ways in which people with disabilities experience abuse by personal care attendants or direct support providers and the support they need to in the aftermath of abuse will inform the strategies developed by Activating Change's grant to respond to this abuse. Your insights will directly assist us as we create resources for both professionals and people with disabilities who use personal care attendants/DSPs.

Please answer the questions to the best of your knowledge. Your answers will not be publicly attributed to you or your agency and will remain anonymous to us at Activating Change.
