Major Job Responsibilities:

Identify changes in supplier power within core materials markets and leverage competitive dynamics to Business’s advantage
Effectively interface with suppliers to negotiate optimal terms for sourcing.
Understand the tradeoffs between cost, volume, and quality in order to strike agreements that meet Business performance criteria and secure long term supply continuity.
Collaborate across the organization to ensure business objectives are met. Includes the ability to rapidly synthesize and communicate findings to senior leaders and to proactively identify potential supply issues that can affect product strategy.
Optimize global supply chain performance through cost and scenario analysis, and benchmarking.
Develop an in-depth understanding of value-added manufacturing processes and costs, reverse logistics, and market intelligence, and apply this knowledge to influence Business future product roadmap and sourcing decisions.
Assess and mitigate risks to the business. Manage global supply chain disruptions in real time with the support of team. Manage and support new product ramps and supplier qualifications.
Manage timely clearance of commodities to avoid demurrage and minimize the port rent
Ensure the proper documentation in ERP for all the purchases
Work in close coordination with technical teams to develop alternate sources to minimize the dependability on one source
In cases of NA catalyst, prepare export documentation and coordinate with finance, warehouse, shipping, custom agent, freight forwarder, and supplier for streamlining the export.
Ensure release of indemnity bonds after consignment arrives back in Pakistan
