Introduction
Moto touring in Europe is practised by numerous motorcyclists, both individually and in organised groups. The transition to electric mobility, which is currently affecting passenger cars, will likely involve also motorcycles in the next few years: the need to find recharging stations and wait for the battery to recharge could influence touring activities. In this context, it is necessary to understand which the key components of motorcycling activities are for users while taking into account the characteristics of current and future batteries and recharging infrastructures.

Objectives of the research
This research project has the goal of better understanding the attitude of European motorcyclists towards electric motorcycling in relation to touring activities. The information collected will be employed by FIM Europe (Fédération Internationale de Motocyclisme) as support for the organization of future touring activities, with the aim to improve the quality of touring events for all the participants and stakeholders.

Procedure and duration of the test
Participation in this research project involves completing a 25-minute online survey related to your demographic information (e.g., age, gender, etc.), your riding experience and habits, your own motorcycles, your participation in touring activities, and your opinion on electric vehicles.
The test is divided into three phases: first, you will complete a 15-minute survey, then you will watch a short video on touring experiences with electric motorcycles (5 min), and finally, you will complete a final questionnaire (5 min).

Possible benefits and risks to participants
There are no specific risks associated with this questionnaire or this study, none of the questions included should cause discomfort to you. However, if you find the survey questions distressing you may withdraw from the online survey at any time.
There are no direct benefits for participants. However, the information collected in this study will be helpful to improve the organization of future touring activities.

Confidentiality
In this study, you will not be asked for any sensitive or personal information. All your data collected throughout this questionnaire will be anonymous.
All information collected within this study will be stored at the Department of Industrial Engineering, Via di Santa Marta 3, 50139 Florence, under the responsibility of Prof. Niccolò Baldanzini.

Right to remove data from the study
Once the questionnaire is submitted it will not be possible to remove your data from the database since the data is anonymous and it will not be possible for the research team to know which one is your answer.
