Clay County Economic Development Group E-Awards Nominations

 

Do you know a entrepreneur who has demonstrated exceptional leadership and vision for a business, service, or product? We are seeking nominations for the 2020 Entrepreneur of the Year Awards! To nominate, simply fill out this form.  Please include your reasoning and submit the form by February 12th, 2021.

1.Nomination for Entrepreneur of the year?

Eligibility
  • The applicant must own a business within Clay County and be principally responsible for its operation
  • The business must be structured ‘for-profit’
  • The business must have generated at least $50,000 in sales at the time of application.  If business was purchased from another, it must show a growth in sales of at least $10,000
  • The applicant's business must have been in operation for at least two years

2.Nomination for Entrepreneurial Employee of the year?

Eligibility
  • The applicant must be an employee working in Clay County for a Clay County Business
  • Must demonstrate entrepreneurial characteristics and work habits

3.Nomination for Social Entrepreneur of the year?

Eligibility
  • It does NOT have to be a 501(c)(3) but it must benefit
  • The applicant must be the primary organizer of the project, program, or organization that addresses a social issue

4.Nomination for Retail or Service Entrepreneur of the year?

Eligibility
  • Retail or service personnel that serves a local clientele
  • The applicant must be the owner of their business

5.Nomination for Young Entrepreneur of the Year?

Eligibility
  • The applicant must be 24 or younger at the time of application
  • The applicant must be the owner and founder of their business and principally responsible for its operation
  • The business must be structured 'for-profit' and have generated at least $1,000 in sales at the time of application
  • The applicant's business must have been in operation for at least six months over all
