Customer feedback on Douglas North Quay Pedestrianisation Trial

The Business Agency within the Department for Enterprise and the Department for Infrastructure have worked in conjunction to test the viability of pedestrianising a small section of Douglas North Quay (from St Matthew's Church at the bottom of Ridgeway Street to Market Hill, also including Chapel Row).

Generally in pedestrianised areas across the UK and Europe, studies have shown it has resulted in an increase in footfall in the area, an increase in revenue of businesses located there, a reduction in pollution, an increase in safety, as well as an increase in value of property. This is what the Department is hoping to achieve in line with the Douglas Master Plan.

As customers of businesses located on Douglas North Quay, we want to hear your thoughts and feedback on the Pedestrianisation trial which has run from 21st August and will finish on 30th September 2020.
