Background Rob Devitt, the provincially appointed Supervisor for the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, has released his governance plan for the Alliance’s future. There is a commitment to a two-site model – with both the Chatham and Wallaceburg sites remaining strong, viable, and under one governance structure. The one hospital board will be comprised of people with the necessary skills to provide oversight and meet their accountabilities.
The proposed board will be 12 voting members and will be selected by Rob Devitt, with the assistance of an executive search firm. A committee, made up of three members of the public, one member of the Rural Health Advisory Committee, medical staff leaders, and CEO Lori Marshall, will advise.
