There are many awards and recognition platforms for contractors and trade practitioners within the industry. There are awards for distributors. There are awards for manufacturers. There is one class of professionals, however, that is under-recognized. These are professionals who devote countless hours to the betterment of contractors and the industry as a whole.

These are the industry consultants.

The Service Roundtable created an award recognizing an outstanding consultant. Named after the late Tom McCart, the award is in his honor:

Tom McCart HVAC Consultant of the Year

Throughout this month nominations were taken by the Service Roundtable. The past three recipients, Ed O'Connell, Kenny Chapman and Vicki LaPlant were not eligible. Based on the nominations, a list of finalists was prepared. Now, Service Roundtable members will vote for their choice from the finalists. The award will be presented at the Service World Expo in Las Vegas.
