The Laurens Electric Cooperative (LEC) Community Initiative Impact Grant, is a $1000-$2000 competitive grant, to be awarded to an organization(s) to support community growth and/or vibrancy projects to increase quality of life. Funds are provided by Laurens Electric Cooperative for the upstate Chambers of Commerce (Fountain Inn, Laurens, Mauldin, Simpsonville). If your application is selected, the grant check will be presented at the Laurens County Chamber’s Annual Dinner on February 20, 2025. The recipient or a representative must be available to attend the Event.

Guidelines:
Proposed projects should include innovative, creative and practical solutions to current community needs, represent a new or unique community opportunity, and make a clear difference in the quality of life. Suggested interest areas are community development, education, the environment, health, or arts and culture. Examples might include the creation of a community garden or repaving a community’s basketball court.
