Draft Masterplan for Eyemouth Harbour - Community Consultation December 2024 - January 2025
Eyemouth Harbour Trust (EHT) is delighted to present its Draft Masterplan, a transformative and ambitious blueprint outlining the development and evolution of the Harbour over the next 20 years. This long-term strategic vision builds on Eyemouth’s historic legacy and strategic location on Scotland’s east coast, positioning the Harbour to capitalise on opportunities in key sectors such as fisheries, marine tourism, and offshore renewable energy.
Eyemouth Harbour Trust would like to hear your views on the Draft Masterplan and invite you to complete this short questionnaire. The Trust values the community’s input, which will be carefully considered, and the Final Masterplan then published.
Masterplan Proposals
The Draft Masterplan is a 'blueprint' - the identified proposals are not set in stone - and they may change with regard to exact design, location and layout. They are:
1. Eyemouth Harbour Extension incorporating deep-water berths and additional quayside space.
2. Working closely with fishing industry to develop proposals.
3. Potential dredging in Inner Harbour to increase water depth.
4. Additional pontoons in Inner Harbour.
5. Yacht moorings.
6. Repairing or replacing the sluice.
7. Maintenance programme for existing Harbour.
8. Improving the existing Harbour Building.
9. Smart Port Strategy.
10. Green Port Strategy.
There are also a number of associated proposals outside the remit of Eyemouth Harbour Trust:
1. Transport and Accessibility Enhancements.
2. Programme for Skills, Qualifications and Training.
3. Hinterland Development Strategy.
4. Marine and Renewable Innovation Centre of Excellence.
5. Eyemouth Waterfront.
6. Eyemouth Beach and Flood Prevention.
You do not have to provide any personal identifiable information. All information gathered will be considered collectively, and will be used for the purposes only of developing the Masterplan.
