You are invited to apply for a scholarship to be granted full access to APPA's Virtual Executive Leadership Summit made possible by the Annie E. Casey Foundation (registration fee covered). This training event will occur virtually September 14 - November 5, 2021. More information about this virtual series can be found on APPA's website

This application is only for juvenile justice agency’s top-ranking individuals who want to bring change and improvements to their agencies. Eligibility for the scholarship are those who are directors and chiefs of agencies with fewer than 100 staff – this is the agency type that is least likely to have access to funding for this important training opportunity.

Please submit your scholarship application by August 8th, 2021.  If selected and you’ve already paid the registration fee, APPA will reimburse you.

Goals for the Summit include assisting leaders in developing a personalized plan for necessary change in their respective departments, using practical strategies applicable for future initiatives, providing leaders with an increased self-awareness through assessment and reflection, increasing leader's capacity to accomplish work through others.

Please ensure you have the necessary equipment to participate in a virtual training event, such as access to Internet/Wi-Fi connections and a computer/laptop throughout all the days of training.

Again, please submit scholarship application by August 8th , 2021. APPA and the Casey Foundation will make announcement of selections by August 20th, 2021.
