The image below represents a simple configuration of a water service line. We are interested in the portion inside the red rectangle. This is what is known as the "Customer Service Line" and is the water service line between the meter pit or curb stop to the first shut off value inside the house/building (usually by the water meter) or point of entry.

The questions contained in this survey will walk you through providing all important information about your water service so that the City of Emerado can meet the legal requirements that align with both Federal (EPA) and State (NDDEQ) regulations pertaining to identifying any lead in the public water system.

Please locate where your water service line enters your property (likely very close to your water meter) and upload a photo of the service line that is taken from a distance that allows as much piping/plumbing on both sides of your meter to be seen.

Please Note: It is important that the material of the service line entering from the floor or wall is visible in the picture. A second picture can be uploaded on question 11 if needed.

If possible, please include a sign noting your address, the material of the Customer Service Line entering the building through floor/wall, and the Primary Plumbing (material that goes through the house after the water meter) as shown below. In this example the Customer Service Line material is HDPE (Plastic) and Primary Plumbing is Copper.
