Information Training & Outreach Centre for Africa (ITOCA), in partnership with Cornell University Mann Library, will be hosting an online evidence synthesis training for African librarians in September 2024. The course will be offered in English and is open to librarians and information specialists from African countries:
Program description
The 4-day synchronous training will be delivered on Zoom. The training session will run from the 2nd to the 5th of September 2024. The training will run for a period of 4.5 hours each day and cover the following topics:
· Overview of systematic reviews and similar methodologies,
· guidelines and standards,
· search strategy development,
· software tools,
· quality assessment, and
· systematic review services.
Eligibility: To qualify for this training, you must hold a minimum of a first degree in Library and Information Science or a related discipline and have a professional role as an information specialist or librarian for a minimum of 2 years.
Cost: USD75 / ZAR 1400
