Early and Periodic Screening, Diagnosis, and Treatment (EPSDT) Program Name Rebranding: Survey for Providers

MaineCare’s EPSDT program allows members under the age of 21 to receive medically necessary services that are not typically covered in the MaineCare Benefits Manual due to service limits. This can include preventive, dental, developmental, behavioral health, and specialty services.

MaineCare is rebranding the EPSDT program by another name that will be used across all state materials including provider and member communications and our website. The goal is to choose a program name that is reflective of feedback from interested parties; something that is more memorable and alludes to the EPSDT program goals of early screening, diagnosis and access to treatment services for children and youth under age 21.
