U.S. EPA Waste and Materials Management Training Series for Tribes Conducting Waste Characterizations: In-Person Workshop

This workshop will enable you to design and execute a waste assessment to answer key programmatic questions – for example, is our outreach working, how many organics could we collect for composting, how much more could we recycle, and more. Learn how to assess the composition and quantity of the wastes being generating within your community by conducting a hands-on waste sort/characterization. By knowing the types and amounts of the materials and waste your community is generating, you can better evaluate waste management options and identify opportunities for improvement.
