The EMSDC Career Equity Internship Program Survey |
About
The Career Equity Internship Program (CEIP) is designed to connect black and brown college students to internship opportunities with diverse businesses in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Delaware and MBE employers and Fortune 100, 500, and 1000 companies located in the region. The goal of the Program is to give black and brown college students access to professional experience in their field of study, positioning them for professional-track career opportunities post-graduation.
The Career Equity Internship Program is more than a work experience opportunity; the Program is designed to facilitate professional mentorship and guidance for all intern participants. As part of the CEIP, we have recruited business owners and professionals committed to serving as mentors to students participating in the program outside of the internship. In addition, companies offering internships will offer internal mentors to support students during the internship providing consistent developmental feedback to the student during the internship.
CEIP internships are paid developmental placements intended to expose students to professional opportunities in their field of study. Internships are exclusive to students committed to the CEIP. Intern candidates will be pre-screened by the CEIP team before referral for an interview with the sponsoring company. Internships will begin in early June and end in mid/late August. Companies will have the opportunity to extend the internship term and retain interns at the discretion of both parties; notification of the CEIP team is required for tracking and data collection purposes.
