Expression of Interest: Dundalk Downtown Revitalization Program

Support the revitalization of downtown Dundalk by volunteering to take part in the Downtown Revitalization Taskforce (DRT)!

Enhancing the town’s commercial core in collaboration with residents and local businesses is a priority for the Township of Southgate. To achieve this, the Township is establishing a taskforce of residents, business professionals, property owners, and staff to complete a Downtown Revitalization (DR) program, evaluating the current context of downtown Dundalk and developing a vision to boost its overall economic well-being.

The Township is seeking five to eight community members with connections to downtown Dundalk that will be available for monthly meetings for approximately one year to support the assessment of the current context, gathering of local data, analysis of findings, and formulation of action plans for implementation and monitoring. Outside of monthly meetings, support with the delivery of other tasks may be required. The estimated commitment time would be 4 to 6 hours/month. Downtown property owners and business operators will be given priority seats on the Taskforce, though residents and community members in and around Dundalk are encouraged to apply.

All applications must be received by 4:00PM on January 24, 2025, to be considered. Please be advised that all information collected by the Township of Southgate will be handled in accordance with, and is subject to, the Municipal Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (MFIPPA).
