The New Castle Downtown Master Plan process is an opportunity for City leaders, business owners, and the public to envision how material, design, and programmatic improvements can impact the functionality and vitality of downtown New Castle. Through this process, we intend to help ensure that downtown remains an active, comfortable, and safe destination for residents and visitors for years to come. The City New Castle initiated the effort in early 2024 following a PreservINg Main Street grant award through the Indiana Office of Community and Rural Affairs.

A critical part of the success of this planning process is the participation of property owners and business owners who operate within the downtown area. To ensure that the planning process considers your specific needs as a property owner and business, we would like you to provide information on your current and future needs.
