Do-Dah Parade

Our volunteers help create magic, they might actually be the stars. With a variety of different jobs, skill sets, and adventure, each of volunteers play an important role in creating that magic.
One last thing, remember, the parade goes rain or shine, and all jobs are outdoors.

Date: June 8th, 2024
Location: Parking Lot on the Corner of Portage Street and Lovell Street
Time: 9 a.m. to about 1:00 p.m.

Parade Line-up: A total of 6 volunteers needed. This job is responsible for greeting the parade unit coordinators and lining them up in their section. Sections are A-C, then in each section units are lined up 1-10. Once your line goes through the gate, your job is basically done. 2 people are needed for each line for a total of 6 volunteers.

Portage Street Line-Up: If you like floats and organized chaos, then this is your street. These volunteers line up the floats along Portage Street and then assist in integrating the units into the street- with the other units. 4-6 people are needed for this area.

Information Table: This person is responsible for answering questions regarding the line-up and where units are located. The information table is operated from 9 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. 2 people are needed.

Gate Assistant: This person is responsible for keeping the units going through the right gate... and keeping them in order- 3 people are needed.

Cross Walk Guide: This position is to assist people when crossing the Do-Dah Parade Street (Lovell St.). It's for those who love to have fun and help others, but are not afraid to tell people what to do. You will be monitoring the traffic of the parade as well as directing individuals to cross the street.
