Hello Damascus! Help us reimagine Main Street!

Planners are seeking your ideas for the Damascus Placemaking Festival. The goal of the Damascus Placemaking Festival is to temporarily transform a block of Main Street during a two-day, community-led placemaking event in October 2024 that will help Damascus residents and business owners get creative with their neighborhood space. Using this questionnaire to guide the design, some potential temporary changes could include arts, greenery and landscaping, and street furniture. The festival will also include music, activities, and local food vendors. This effort will help create a safe, welcoming neighborhood space for all ages and backgrounds and will incorporate the community’s vision for the future of Main Street.
 
Montgomery Planning is working to bring the community’s ideas to life and make the Damascus Main Street area a more vibrant place to spend time and gather as a community.
