We believe that many of the strategies implemented last year were critical in maintaining a healthy environment, therefore, we would like to revise our plan to simply include specific information for when our local community has a low transmission rate such as we do now.
1. GASD will maintain an optional masking policy during times of low transmission.
2. GASD will continue with increased cleaning and sanitation routines (detailed in the plan) even with the low transmission rate to prevent and mitigate potential spread.
3. GASD will monitor positivity rates and conduct thorough contact tracing for any cases reported. Our response to positive cases will follow the protocols as outlined in our health and safety plan (same as 2020-2021).
4. GASD will revisit the masking and social distancing policies should transmission rates increase and in consultation with our Departments of Health and Education.
5. GASD will include the strategies used during the 2020-2021 school year for times of moderate or substantial transmission, however will convene to review prior to implementing any change in the practices to reflect the most current recommendations by health professionals and local community needs.
6. GASD will review the plan at least every six months during the pandemic.
