Section 1 - Introduction

The Home Survey Standard (HSS) 1st Edition, 2019 is now subject to a review. The aim is to investigate areas of the Standard that work well or that need to be improved/updated to reflect the work currently being undertaken in the changing landscape of our built environment.

RICS would welcome your replies to the following questions to help us shape the next edition. These questions should be based on your experiences of conducting home surveys (either as an individual or that of your firm’s) and that of the current Standard.

It is recommended to have a copy of the current Home Survey Standard (HSS) 1st Edition, 2019, open, for you to reference while you complete this survey.
