Completely renovate Short Park. This would likely consist of the additions of a splash pad, more playground equipment (rock wall, rope climbing, additional slides, etc.), a BMX track, and an outdoor volleyball court. It will also likely consist of upgraded baseball/softball facilities (professionally re-done fields, sprinkler systems, and dugouts), and upgraded basketball facilities (new goals and court tiles with 3-point line and key). Lastly, professional landscapers will also be hired to ensure desert-friendly landscaping measures are taken allowing for the best possible results of shade, beautification, and longevity.
Down payment for a recreation center of multi-sport facilities. This would likely include things like batting cages, basketball court, bowling alley, tennis court, volleyball court, golf simulator, and/or a workout/training gym.
Down payment for a fishing lake development. This would likely include professional landscaping with surrounding canopies, tables, and grills being a part of it.
Down payment for a movie theater. This would likely be a small theater (2-4 screens) with other possible activities included like bowling, mini golf, laser tag, or arcade.
New archery/firearm range facilities. There are several routes to go with this. This could be big or small, or even indoor or outdoor.
Purchase the old Southside School property. This would allow future administrations a blank canvas of sorts to build economic development ideas of their own.
