Deep Learning for Cancer Drug Response Prediction Workshop
Deep Learning for Cancer Drug Response Prediction Workshop: Registration and Landing Page
Workshop Goal
The Deep Learning for Cancer Drug Response Prediction Workshop will be a two-day workshop focusing on cancer drug response prediction held at the University of Chicago on April 7-8, 2020.
This invite-only workshop brings together a collection of researchers working on the common goal of building data driven predictive models of drug response that can be used in a pre-clinical research and clinical settings. Predictive drug response models hold great promise to inform precision treatment strategies, guide the development of new therapies, and prioritize experiments. Predicting how a tumor will respond to a drug requires innovation in machine learning, protocols to assess the quality of models and data, access to curated experimental data to train, validation and improvement of our models, and an engaged community of interdisciplinary researchers.
This workshop will identify successes, prioritize current challenges, and frame opportunities of drug response prediction for cancer using state-of-the-art deep learning methods. While we are primarily focusing, in this meeting, on deep learning approaches, we and many others use a variety of methods; therefore, non-deep learning approaches will also be welcome.
We’d value you, or someone from your team, giving a short talk on the first day to share your current activities and results, and also invite you to join an upcoming Organizing Committee call as we finalize details on how to make the workshop the most productive in the long-term. It’s going to be a highly collaborative and interactive event.
Registration
Note that there is no fee for the workshop, but participants are responsible for their own expenses. If you have a critical need for travel support, please indicate that in comments below and we will determine if we can identify a source of support. This workshop is invite-only and we need each person attending to complete this SurveyMonkey registration form. In other words, if more than one person is attending from your group, each person must complete this registration form to attend.
Do not make travel arrangements until you have received a confirmation email confirming your attendance. Please contact Silvia Mulligan <smulligan@anl.gov> if you have any questions.
