In October 2024, the California Collaborative for Educational Excellence (CCEE) will be launching the pilot of the Data Literacy & Leadership Academy (DLLA). The Academy will include two FREE courses tailored to different audiences:
  • Data Literacy Course – Geared towards data analysts who are new to K-12 education or new to K-12 data
  • Data Leadership Course – Tailored for emerging data leaders looking to drive instructional change
The purpose of the Academy is to create a pipeline of TK-12 education professionals proficient in data literacy and leadership to better serve California’s students. This pilot program is exclusively for district and charter staff at this time.

Course Requirements: DLLA participants will be required to attend at least eight of the nine synchronous sessions and complete all nine asynchronous modules to complete the course. Please note that if participants miss a synchronous session, they will be required to complete and submit make up assignments. By submitting your application, you are committing to attending at least eight of the nine synchronous sessions and completing all nine asynchronous modules, so please ensure your availability and bandwidth in advance of applying.

Pilot Requirements: Since this is a pilot of the DLLA, the inaugural cohort requires participants to provide feedback on all aspects of the Academy. This includes completing module feedback surveys, participating in focus groups/interviews on the content and structure of the asynchronous and synchronous sessions and evaluating impact of course overall through pre/post assessments. By submitting your application, you commit to participating in the feedback portion of this pilot, helping us further develop the Academy based on the inaugural cohort's experience.



Applications must be submitted by Friday, August 30, 2024 at 4:00pm to be eligible for consideration. Applicants will be notified by Monday, September 16, 2024.
