What is the MDDC?

The Massachusetts Developmental Disabilities Council (MDDC) is funded by the federal government to support people with intellectual/developmental disabilities (I/DD) and their families across our state.

Specifically, MDDC empowers people with I/DD to enjoy full and productive lives by promoting community inclusion and providing opportunities.

Why are we conducting this survey?

One way that MDDC improves the lives of people with I/DD and their families is through education and policy change.

Every 2 years, we create a “Priority Legislation” list. Our 2023-2024 Priority Legislation included areas like housing and healthcare.

We educate our state government about the impact that these priority bills could have on the I/DD community. We do this by meeting with policymakers and providing testimony at the State House

We want your input to decide what topics and policies should be covered in our next Priority Legislation list.
