INTRODUCTION

Thank you for taking the time to help plan for the future of school facilities in Dixon!

Over the past several months, meetings, tours, conversations and open Community Forums have been conducted to articulate, gather and understand the basic needs of your school facilities as well as the community vision for addressing those needs. From these meetings, we have found key issues that are important to the Dixon Community when considering the future of its school buildings. This survey is intended to engage a wider audience to gauge your opinions on goals and priorities for addressing these issues in the Master Plan.

SUPPORTING 21ST CENTURY TEACHING & LEARNING:
The primary purpose of our schools is to support student success in the 21st century and beyond. Appropriate environments for both teachers and students are needed to achieve this, and many areas in our existing schools fall short.

We expect that the Dixon community including parents, students, teachers, staff, and district leadership agree that a key role of the master plan should be to define 21st century educational environments for all of our students.

Please help us understand your perspective on current schools in the district by indicating HOW WELL DIXON PUBLIC SCHOOLS ARE CURRENTLY achieving general guidelines for 21st century school facilities.
