In 2019 a Road Map was developed for the conservation, use, and public engagement around North America's crop wild relatives and wild utilized plants.

Five years have passed since the road map was published and time is ripe to assess progress achieved. Your survey response will provide important information about activities to support the conservation, use, and public engagement around North America’s crop wild relatives and wild utilized plants.

In addition, BGCI-US, the United States Botanic Garden, and collaborators are planning a symposium in Denver, Colorado on September 17-19, 2024, to assess progress and discuss future priorities for this important group of plants. Your survey responses will also help us prepare for the symposium and identify barriers encountered to support road map priorities.

Individual responses to this survey will be kept confidential by BGCI. Survey results may be shared with the broader plant conservation community in aggregate form only, without any identifying information from individual survey respondents.

Please complete this 10-minute survey by February 29, 2024. More than one response per institution or group is welcome. Contact Abby Meyer (abby.meyer@bgci.org) or Stephanie Greene (stephanie@conservepgr.com) with any questions.

BGCI-US is grateful for the partnership of the United States Botanic Garden, and collaboration of the Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum, Denver Botanic Gardens, Missouri Botanical Garden, NatureServe, San Diego Botanic Garden, University of British Columbia Botanical Garden, and USDA for making this initiative possible.
