About NVPCA 2020 Annual Health Care Conference -
Nevada Primary Care Association (NVPCA) is the federally designated Primary Care Association for the State of Nevada. NVPCA is dedicated to assisting health centers and other community health providers with the implementation of sustainable business practices and community-responsive programs in an effort to improve service delivery effectiveness and efficiency.
We are a non-profit membership organization that was founded in 1995. We serve Section 330-funded and prospective Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs), tribal health centers, other primary care clinics, and community health providers throughout the State of Nevada. NVPCA supports collaboration and coordination among existing health centers and other community health providers to improve and expand access to comprehensive primary care services throughout the state.
NVPCA is now accepting presentation proposals for the 2020 Annual Health Care Conference scheduled for Wednesday, September 16, 2020 and Thursday, September 17, 2020. Due to the unpredictable nature of the pandemic, we will be holding a virtual conference this year because we believe it is essential to provide connection and education to our members as we weather this crisis and continue work to strengthen Nevada's FQHC network. A virtual conference will offer a more affordable and safe option for exceptional content and virtual networking for everyone. This virtual Annual Conference will be a first in NVPCA’s history as an organization and we’re looking forward to the innovative and creative new ways we’ll be connecting with one another. Submission due date: June 15, 2020
Nevada Primary Care Association strives to design an educational program to equip attendees with effective strategies to achieve operational success and enhance quality for all patients. We encourage proposals from a variety of individuals and organizations representing different points of view on timely and relevant subject matter. Speakers will be selected based on the following criteria:
1. Quality, timeliness and value of content
2. Relevance to the needs of FQHC staff
3. Participant engagement strategies (virtual and/or on site)
4. Requested honorarium - In an effort to keep registration fees at a minimum, speakers who will waive request for honorarium will be given top priority.
Decisions regarding selection will be made and shared by June 22
