Chapter Awards

1.Building Manager of the Year
Honors a member of BOMA Columbus who has demonstrated leadership skills, participated in activities as an officer, committee chair or member, and has contributed time and talent to the BOMA Columbus Community.
This could also include members who have written articles on his/her field and shown an interest in keeping up to date by participating in education programs.
The award recognizes activity during the previous year, rather than service over many years.
2.Vendor of the Year
Honors a member of BOMA Columbus who has demonstrated leadership skills, participated in activities as an officer, committee chair or member, and has contributed time and talent to the BOMA Columbus Community.
This could also include members who have written articles on his/her field and shown an interest in keeping up to date by participating in education programs.
The award recognizes activity during the previous year, rather than service over many years.
3.Rising Star Building Manager of the Year
A young professional that is a mentee in the emerging leaders program, has less than 5 years in the industry as a Property Manager.
This individual tends to stand out by taking the initiative to be involved in the monthly Columbus chapter meetings, events, and/or committees.
Must be an active member in BOMA in good standing with dues paid.
4.Rising Star Vendor of the Year
A young professional that is a mentee in the emerging leaders program, has less than 5 years in the industry as a Vendor.
This individual tends to stand out by taking the initiative to be involved in the monthly Columbus chapter meetings, events, and/or committees.
Must be an active member in BOMA in good standing with dues paid.
5.Volunteer of the Year
Must have been a member in good standing for the full calendar year, can be a regular (pm) or associate (vendor) member.
To be considered, the candidate should have evidence of exemplary volunteer service throughout the year to BOMA Columbus that has contributed significant value to the organization and improved the overall BOMA Columbus experience for our membership.
6.Real Estate Company of the Year
Must have a paid member of BOMA Columbus in good standing, take into account number of members involved, involvement in the chapter which can include volunteer hours, committee participation, sponsorship contributions, volunteerism within the community, BOMA events attended, hosted BOMA events onsite at their facility owned or managed by the real estate company, and any other contributions made towards BOMA International or BOMA Columbus.
7.Vendor Partner of the Year
Must have a paid member of BOMA Columbus in good standing, take into account number of members involved, involvement in the chapter which can include volunteer hours, committee participation, sponsorship contributions, volunteerism within the community, BOMA events attended, hosted BOMA events onsite at their facility owned or managed by the real estate company, lunch & learns hosted, and any other contributions made towards BOMA International or BOMA Columbus.
