‘ The development of a family friendly, affordable and sustainable multi-use motor sport park for the Great Southern Region; providing a shared home for a range of motorsport disciplines, driver education, compatible sports and events, maximising commercial benefits of shared facilities.’

On behalf of Albany Motorsport Venue Incorporated, the City of Albany is seeking community feedback on the Albany Motorsport Park development, specifically to inform the update to the venues Noise Management Plan.

The original Noise Management Plan was completed in 2021 with the full development of the Albany Motorsport Park in mind. At this interim stage of the full project, Stage 1: Motocross and Offroad Precinct have been constructed, with Stage 2: Racetrack planned for future development. Albany Motorsport Venue Incorporated is required to develop a revised Noise Management Plan, tailored to Stage 1.

Development of the revised Noise Management Plan will involve considering the views of the local community through a short survey to understand community impact and sentiment.

Prior to completing the survey, it is recommended that participants view the project profile to understand the project purpose and initiatives.

This survey should take 5-10 minutes to complete, will be kept in confidence and used for data collection only.

The Motocross Precinct accommodates a range of vehicles, including two-wheel racing bikes from 50cc to 450cc, as well as e-bikes and quad bikes. The Offroad Precinct includes 4WD and ATV vehicles.

According to the Development Approval for the Albany Motorsport Park, only one precinct, Motocross and Offroad or the future Racetrack can operate at a time, this condition will remain unchanged.
