Building Barrier Beach and Salt Marsh Resilience on Coskata-Coatue Wildlife Refuge (Nantucket, MA)
The Trustees and Nantucket Conservation Foundation are developing a coastal resilience plan for Coskata-Coatue Wildlife Refuge on Nantucket, focusing on Coskata Pond and the Haulover as vulnerable sites. This plan aims to protect the valuable natural areas from the increasing threats of climate change, including more intense storms and rising sea levels. In this process, we are inviting feedback from the Nantucket community on approaches to coastal resilience, use of the refuge, and resilience priorities.
