Fire Department Policies for Post-Fire Contaminant Exposure Control
Welcome to Our Survey
This survey is part of a FEMA/USFA-funded research project led by the Maryland Fire and Rescue Institute and the University of Maryland, Department of Fire Protection Engineering and should only take five minutes to complete. The purpose of the survey is to collect fire department policy, practices, and program documents related to contaminant exposure control. Information gathered will help to identify best practices. The research will look at the challenges faced in developing, implementing, and managing contaminant exposure control programs, guiding future initiatives.
Departments with no contaminant exposure control policy should also respond to this survey.
You will be asked to upload your department's contaminant exposure control document(s), to which the research team will only have access. Please do your best to provide these documents as they are crucial sources of information needed for our research. While specific policy content may be discussed in the final research report and presentation of findings, department names will be removed and replaced by a generic identifier. Please submit your responses to the survey questions no later than February 18, 2022.
