Important Program Information
Thank you for your interest in hosting a Nonprofit Center Board Member Fellow! Before you begin this form, please take a moment to review Fellowship information by clicking here.
The Nonprofit Center, with support from the Paul & Klare Reinhold Foundation, is offering a two-month skill-building program that will run June - July of 2024 with a mid-program Fellowship placement for a select group of individuals to build knowledge and skills in board service. The Fellows will be paired with a nonprofit organization local to Clay County and a board mentor so that they can experience, in real time, what it means to serve on a nonprofit board.
The Nonprofit Center is seeking Clay nonprofit organizations that exemplify the best in board practices, which include:
Active board and committee structures
Good governance, fundraising, and culture-building practices
Board recruitment that prioritizes diversity
Nonprofit hosts will be asked to:
Allow the Nonprofit Center to provide a brief orientation to the board prior to the start of the Fellowship period
Include the Fellow in board and committee meetings in a non-voting capacity
Identify a board mentor to pair the Fellow with for the duration of their Fellowship
In return for successful participation as a Nonprofit Host, each organization will receive an honorarium of $300.
Please complete this form by May 31 if you are interested in participation.
Matches will be completed in June.
One-year Fellowships will take place July 2024 - June 2025.
