About this course
Welcome to the SA Pathology iSTAT Training and Accreditation program.
This training program has been designed to provide an accessible Training and Competency module to iSTAT operators and is specific to SA Health sites managed by SA Pathology Point of Care Testing.
This Training and Accreditation program should NOT be used by sites that are not managed by SA Pathology Point of Care Testing.
The Training and Accreditation program provides operators with the educational resources required to achieve competency in using the iSTAT device to generate quality patient results in a clinical setting. These resources include documentation, training video(s) and an electronic competency assessment quiz. All resources including the competency assessment quiz are owned and managed by SA Pathology Point of Care Testing.
Operator must obtain a mandatory PASS score of 100%
Score below 100% - Operator is advised to re-attempt the Competency Assessment quiz using the same link.
Operators that have successfully completed the Competency Assessment can commence using the iSTAT. In time operators will receive access barcode for the use on the iSTAT and competency certificates.
