Public Survey: INTRODUCTION

A greenway is a linear corridor that connects people and places.
Wildlands Conservancy purchased approximately 4 miles of railbed from the former Chestnut Ridge Railway to develop as a rail trail between Little Gap in Lower Towamensing, Carbon County and Kunkletown in Eldred Township, Monroe County. The purpose of this study is to determine the feasibility of developing a trail that connects from Kunkletown in Eldred Township to Palmerton Borough using this purchased property while evaluating alternative trail corridors. We encourage you to take this short survey to provide valuable information which will guide the vision and development of the Chestnut Ridge Greenway Trail.

We encourage you to attend our first public workshop on September 12th at 6 pm at Stoney Ridge P.A.R.C (1770 Fireline Road, Palmerton, PA 18071) and online. The survey comments will be used to develop a draft plan which will be presented to the community during its second Public Workshop which will be determined at a later date.

It is anticipated that this survey will take 10 minutes to complete.
